The brief

Faircopy can only work from what is true about you. The more of this you fill in, the less it has to reach for something generic.

0 / 200 characters minimum.
Note

LinkedIn's PDF export truncates Skills

The export only carries your 3 to 5 pinned skills, however many you actually have listed. If your full skill set matters for this rewrite, paste it into the profile text directly rather than relying on the PDF alone.

Be specific. “Senior Backend Engineer, fintech” gets you a different profile from “Engineer”.

How your headline handles the title

Standing out and staying straight pull against each other. This is the one call Faircopy will not make for you.

Tell us more — optional

None of this is required. It is also the whole difference between a rewrite that sounds like you and one that sounds like everybody.

One or two sentences. E.g. "Eight years building backend systems; now moving toward engineering leadership."

Anything real, however small: shipped, built, advised, prototyped, studied. This is what lets the rewrite tell the story without inventing it.

If a recruiter remembers a single sentence about you, what should it be?

The transferable thread. This is what turns a career change into a progression rather than a reset.

Work that is real but no longer where you want to be pigeonholed.
