The agreement

What you can expect, and what we ask

Using Faircopy means agreeing to what’s below. It’s written to be read, not to be survived — if a clause here needs a lawyer to decode, that’s our failure rather than yours. Last updated 9 September 2026.

Who you’re dealing with

Faircopy is operated by TAVO, a company established in the United Arab Emirates under licence number CN-6701531. “We” and “us” below mean TAVO; “you” means the person using Faircopy. Anything on this page you want to raise, including a refund, reaches a person at hello@faircopy.me.

What Faircopy does

You give us your existing profile text and the role you’re aiming at, and we return a rewritten version of it for you to review, edit, and use if you want to. That’s the whole service. We don’t apply for jobs, contact recruiters, post anything to LinkedIn, or promise that any of it leads to an interview.

The words are yours before they’re anyone else’s

Every rewrite is checked against what you gave us, and anything that looks invented is flagged for you. That check is real and it is not complete: it reliably catches invented numbers and scale, and senior titles, but it does not detect a fabricated employer or a fabricated achievement. So read what comes back before you publish it. You are the one putting these words under your own name, and the responsibility for them stays with you — which is also why we show you every flag rather than quietly fixing things behind your back.

Your account

You need to be 18 or older. Sign in with an email address you actually control, and keep it to one account per person — the free credit is meant to let one person try the product, not to be collected. You can sign out from the app header at any time. There is no way to delete your account yet; when there is, this page and the privacy page will both say so.

Credits

A rewrite costs one credit, whatever the length of your career. New accounts start with one, free. The credit is held before the first word is written and returned if the run produces nothing — you are not charged for a rewrite you never received. More are on the pricing page — $1 for one, $5 for six, $20 for thirty. They land in your balance as soon as the payment clears, and they don’t expire: buy six today and the last one still works a year from now. If a payment is refunded in full, the credits go back with it. Anything partial we’ll sort out with you directly, and refunds generally are case by case: write to hello@faircopy.me and we’ll look at it properly rather than hide behind a policy.

What we ask you not to do

Don’t paste someone else’s profile without their permission. Don’t use Faircopy to invent qualifications, employers, or credentials you don’t have. Don’t resell the service or run it through your own product, and don’t try to get around the credit system or hammer the site with automated traffic. If you do any of that we may suspend the account, and we’ll tell you why.

We’re not LinkedIn

Faircopy has no affiliation with, endorsement from, or connection to LinkedIn or Microsoft. We write text you can paste into a LinkedIn profile; what LinkedIn does with it, and whether it stays within their own terms, is between you and them. LinkedIn is their trademark, used here only to say what the product is for.

While we’re still early

Faircopy is pre-launch. We don’t promise it will be available at any given moment, and we may change how it works, what it costs, or withdraw it entirely. If we make a change that takes away something you’ve already paid for, we’ll make that right.

If something goes wrong

Faircopy is a writing tool, not career advice, and we can’t be responsible for what happens after you publish something — a job you didn’t get, an opportunity you missed, or income you expected. Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you’ve paid us in the twelve months before the problem. Nothing here limits anything that can’t be limited under the law that applies to you.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update this page when the product changes, and the date at the top is always the date it last did. We don’t backdate: a change applies from when it’s published, not to something you did last month. If a change genuinely matters, we’ll tell you rather than rely on you re-reading this page.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Abu Dhabi Global Market, and the ADGM Courts are where a dispute about them would be heard. If you’re a consumer somewhere with protections you can’t sign away, you keep them — nothing here is meant to take those from you.

Your data

What we collect, what we keep, and what we never do with it is set out on the privacy page, in the same plain terms as this one. It is part of this agreement, and if the two pages ever disagree, treat that as a bug and tell us.
